CEO - Kurt A. Nederveld
Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan
Mr. Nederveld is the Founder and CEO of Rainstar Capital Group and Rainstar Marketing. He is a serial entrepreneur, investor, debt adviser and highly sought after consultant in the debt capital markets. Mr. Nederveld has personally advised over 100 marketing clients that are Fund Managers, Debt Funds, Investment Bankers, Fintech lenders and Specialty Finance firms. He manages multiple investment firms that focus on niche investments and operates a robust debt advisory firm assisting clients with corporate finance, commercial real estate, small business and equipment financing needs. At the age of 26 Mr. Nederveld was diagnosed with cancer and is blessed to be cancer free today. Mr. Nederveld graduated from Calvin College based in Grand Rapids, Michigan with a B.A. in Business. He is active in leadership roles in his church, Gideon’s International, Institute of Reformed Biblical Counseling and in his role as a husband and father. He enjoys reading, playing basketball, tennis, jet skiing and spending time with his family.

Mr Pierce has a diversified background in the consumer and business credit sectors. He has been a Consumer Credit Consultant and a Residential Mortgage Banker over his career. He has held multiple roles in sales, executive leadership, management and financing. He is active in his church, sports and spends time with his family in Grand Rapids, Mi.
Team Leader / MANAGING DIRECTOR: ED SLABACK
Location: Houston, Texas
A graduate of the University of Texas, Mr. Slaback offers more than 30 years of banking, lending and business experience and education to his clients. Ed began his banking career with the FDIC and progressed up the ranks to serve as a senior loan officer, chief credit officer and president and CEO of two banks. In addition, he has owned a business and also worked in sales and marketing.
Mr. Slaback is active in the community volunteering with The Gideons, charities, nonprofits and his church.
MANAGING DIRECTOR: TERRELL SARVER
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Mr. Sarver has over 20+ years of experience in commercial lending, banking, debt consulting and non profit work. He is a professionally certified credit consultant and has assisted clients with:

• Credit counseling
He resides in Indianapolis, Indiana with his wife and two daughters. He is active in his roles at church and family life.
MANAGING DIRECTOR: ROGER NELSON
Location: Boise, Idaho
Throughout Mr. Nelson’s twenty five-year career in real estate business finance. He has owned and managed real estate-business assets. He has invested over $100,000 on his intellectual capital and continues to do so to keep up with the changing market. As a former mortgage broker in 2008-2010 with the Home Assist Corp, Mr. Nelson sourced, analyzed, and negotiated over $18.2 million in short sales. Mr. Nelson collaborates closely with a capital formation elite group of investors in Las Vegas. Mr. Nelson is ACPAR certified in commercial real estate stabilized transaction and funds vs JV structure management mastery. Mr. Nelson started his career with Cummins Engine Company/Detroit Diesel Corporation. He worked with both of these companies for over thirty years as a well-regarded Field Engine Tech/Manager in new product development for the automotive, industrial, construction, and mining sector. Mr. Nelson resides with his two children in Boise, ID.

Location: Hackensack, NJ
Robert Ferra is an accomplished banking professional with over 20 years in lending and customer strategy setting experience.
His portfolio of achievements include helping over 5,000 families become homeowners and over 1000 business owners obtain the proper financing to reach their goals. Proactive networker, community leader and committed to clients' needs and truly dedicated to obtaining the highest standards of professional expectation. Proficient with strong organization skills and tactical planning.
He is married to Aida Ferra for 27 years and they have 2 sons Jason and Kevin. Born in Uruguay, became a US citizen in 1985. Fluent in English and Spanish.

MANAGING DIRECTOR: greg adlington
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Greg was born in London, Ontario, Canada. A graduate of the University of Western Ontario, Greg began his career with the Royal Bank of Canada in 1980. Over the next five years he moved around the province of British Columbia working on special projects until finally settling in the town of Dawson Creek, BC, running his own branch of the bank. In 1985, Greg and his wife Jackie, emigrated to the US and took up residence in San Diego. Here, Greg began a 25 year career in the golf business, eventually ending up in Milwaukee at Brynwood Country Club as the PGA Director of Golf. In 2004 Greg left the club and reentered the money business as a residential mortgage broker, and in 2010 made the switch to 100% commercial lending. Greg still enjoys golf, is an avid woodworker, reader, and economics junkie. He and Jackie have three grown children, Alex, Connor, and Kelly.

MANAGING DIRECTOR: Daran Landry
Location: Houston, TX
Daran Landry grew up in a rural little town, outside Lafayette, La. Striving to enter the medical field, he became an EMT First Responder, while still in High School and a Paramedic shortly after graduating. He also worked his way through college as a Personal Trainer, obtaining his first Personal Training Certification in 1989. Growing up around an entrepreneurial father proved to be an invaluable education. As throughout the late 1980’s and early 1990’s, Daran and his father started, grew, and sold several small side businesses, while both maintaining full-time positions.
In the late 1990’s and through 2001, Daran worked for an international aviation staffing and project management company, which introduced him to the Corporate Finance world. This opportunity presented him with the opportunity travel and run offices in Houston, Dallas and the San Francisco Bay area. The tragic events of 9-11 forced the Aviation Industry into an economic “tailspin” and the division that Daran worked for had to shut down, transferring him back to Houston. However, in 2002, his experience in handling the financing aspect of Project Management, as well as negotiating with some of the world’s top AAA+ rated Aviation and Aerospace corporations, easily led him into the Retail Management sector of Banking with Union Planters / Regions Bank.
He made his way up through the banking ranks in Small Business Banking roles and moving into the Commercial Lending sectors with Mutual of Omaha Bank. There he specialized in C&I Lending focusing on lending to Maritime, Aviation, and Energy Service clientele. Beginning in 2014, he was trained in recognizing the attributes and advantages of the SBA 7(a) product offerings for clients who did not yet fit (or fell out of favor with) the conventional banking requirements. Continuously seeking how to best serve clients whom were bankable, just not bankable at that specific time, gave Daran a “King Maker, yet Never the King” servant mentality.
The “Bridge-to-Bankable” concept that was presented to Daran by Rainstar Capital Group was the driving force behind his decision to join an exceptional team of Managing Directors, both nationally and in the Houston market. In addition to his Managing Director’s position with Rainstar Capital Group, Daran owns a martial arts-based fitness business and has served as a featured guest speaker for many of the Banking Industry’s membership driving associations in Houston, such as RMA and Financial Women in Texas, including topics such as self-defense and emergency preparedness.

MANAGING DIRECTOR: Frederick Ruffin
Location: Cincinnati, OH
Frederick Ruffin is an entrepreneur with nearly 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. His expertise includes investment management, consumer banking, business banking, merchant services, and treasury services. He held Series 6 and Life, Health & Annuity Licenses. Before joining Rainstar Capital Group, he was both the owner and finance broker of FLR Business Solutions. His company provided alternative lending solutions including working capital, business lines of credit, start-up capital, SBA loans, term loans, and real estate investment financing to help his clients achieve their financial goals. Mr. Ruffin is also a member of his local Chamber of Commerce.
When not in his office, Frederick enjoys spending time with his wife and kids. He also serves as an outreach minister at his church and is certified as a Christian-based addictions counselor for Celebrate Recovery. Frederick’s hobbies include playing the drums in his church band, bowling and golf.

Edward De Los Angeles graduated from the University of Houston with a bachelors in International Business and Economics. He has over 20 years’ experience in Banking within the commercial, middle and large corporate markets, including multinational businesses. Edward has working experience in community, regional and large corporate banks. Prior to his lending experience he worked in the credit department with a large corporate banking institution for almost 5 years, where he completed his credit training program. Edward specialized in the Corporate and Industrial sector thru most of his career where he has closed loans ranging from $500K up to $320M with domestic and international businesses.

Rich Rose is an accomplished Senior Executive and entrepreneur with more than 35 years of success across the accounting, information technology, consulting, construction, manufacturing, service and retail industries. In 1996 Peter graduated from Archbishop Molloy High School in Queens NY with 9 division I scholarships for golf. He turned it down, and Peter then started as an Investment Banker on Wall Street working for some of the top investment banks. Within 3 years’ time, he brought in hundreds of customer accounts and successfully managed more than 5mm in assets. In 1999, Peter took the reins of his family’s environmental services company after his late father’s passing. After implementing an aggressive growth and acquisition plan, while being the company’s lead driver, Peter sold the company just a few years later for more than 10x’s times annual earnings. In 2002 Peter then transitioned into the mortgage / lending industry and was an operations & sales manager. He did his own production on top of it and was usually the top producer up until he left the business in 2010. During that time, he also integrated credit repair services to ensure that all clients were able to secure the best mortgage and financing available. In 2014 he recognized the growth / earning potential of the merchant cash advance industry and has been funding anywhere from 12 to 15 clients per month. In December of 2018 Peter partnered with Rainstar Capital Group and business is going great! Although born and raised in Queens NY, Peter moved to North Myrtle Beach in May 2017 where he currently resides. Peter loves to play the drums, golf and volunteer when possible for various organizations.

Renee has over 15 years’ experience in finance and lending experience. Previously working at A10 Capital providing middle market commercial lending to investors nationwide. Renee oversaw the Management, Estimating and business development for commercial development projects for New West Construction around Idaho and the Northwest Region completing many notable projects. Prior moving to Idaho in 1998 she was the Director of Sales at Bayview Hotels in Monterey, California. Renee is a Designated Broker in the state of Idaho.
Renee is a CCIM designee working to obtain her CCIM designation. She enjoys spending time outdoors sailing, biking and spending time with family and friends. Renee’s institutional experience includes positions at A10 Capital and Rainier Bank.

John is native of Washington, DC. Prior to joining Rainstar Capital Group, Mr. Lewter was co-founder and principle of a successful national commercial finance company, providing business consulting services, access to capital and business financial solutions for company’s poised for growth and expansion. Formerly served as Corporate Compliance Officer, Investment Banker, and Federal Ethics Law Enforcement Official. Mr. Lewter has an In-depth knowledge of auditing, financial tracking systems, and a broad understanding of multichannel financial products, financial arrangements and investments.
Mr. Lewter formerly administered the financial and administrative audits for Congressional legislative agencies – the U.S. House of Representatives, with the House Office of Finance, as a Financial Management Counselor, and the U.S. Senate, with the Supervising office of the U.S. Senate, the Senate Select Committee on Ethics, enforcing Financial Disclosure Law, Compliance and Misconduct regulations covered under Title I of the Ethics in Government Act.
